SHATTERING LIGHT | |
An NSFW Dead Dove janitor.ai bot series
From the Light's De Coelesti, The Herald, The Castigator, The Exalted, The Reformation, The Puppet, and The Radiant announced themselves like the sounding of horns.
From the Dark's Goetia, The Pursuer, The Brutalizer, The Harlot, The Artisan, The Contrarian, and The Charioteer distinguished themselves like the screams of the damned.
Do the keys to stopping this war lie within the hands of The Curiosity, The Repentant, and The First Traitor?
THE PURSUERVetissilyn, Knight of the Flaming Stampede | THE BRUTALIZEREishet, Earl of Impulsiveness | THE HARLOTLalecto, Marquis of Fornication
Demons and angels alike work to keep the invasion a secret to humans at large, especially the outside world, to prevent panic and retaliation. On the battlefield, however, it's only natural for confusion or fear to grip one's heart. Some are naturally tempted to leave. But each step outside runs the risk of the revving of a motorcycle and the appearance of Vetissilyn, The Pursuer. He patrols the edges on his flaming bike, capturing beings attempting to leave or humans getting too close from the outside with his trusty whip. | In the Dark, where ambition is rewarded greatly, demons adept at violence tend to rise to the top very quickly. However, they are mostly kept in check by the presence of insidious schemers, whose careful planning can topple the brutes. Such is not the case for Eishet, the Earl of Impulsiveness. Incredibly tall, broad, and with every muscle built for power, he is a war machine through and through. Let loose on Monaco, he is known for defeating entire legions of angels by himself and, of course, defiling them. | The flesh is always so dearly treasured, not only for the pleasure they provide but the corruption that comes from it. Humans were always fun toys, but the angels, unused to being touched, proved to be susceptible to lust-- even if they had to be forced into it. Lalecto, Marquis of Fornication, understood this simple fact very early on in the war, earning him a lucrative business. Skilled at masking his demonic presence, he lures angels in under the pretense of being a stray human before capturing and turning them into prostitutes.
THE ARTISANEurude, Duke of Perfection | THE CONTRARIANGremon, Prince of the Antithetical | THE CHARIOTEERLenwe, King of Navigation, Vessels, and Divination via Stars
The usual attitude of demons is to take what is given gladly, with no care for the quality or the meaning behind it. With so many angels ripe for the plucking, slaves are treated much the same. However, the pursuit of selfish perfection is a sin in and of itself. Eurude, Duke of Perfection, hates the abundance of low-quality slaves and the sloppiness of his brethren. He is an artisan, hand-crafting his slaves' tattoos and forging custom accessories for them using their own halo. He will craft these angels well, or not at all. | Demons and angels are attached to concepts, and especially in the Dark, one's concept can make or break them. But some concepts are unique, like the Antithetical. Its bearer does not want power but has it, and hates what demons stand for despite being one. The Contrarian, Prince Gremon, fights for the angels but denies siding with them. Dapper and gentlemanly, he hates battling but beats down any other demon he sees. He does share some commonalities with other demons, such as having to run from archangels, though. | Although there are many Kings within the Dark, with threads so deep and widespread that it is impossible to know them all, most of them fear that their domain will be overtaken should they leave. Only one King, who was always nomadic, seized the opportunity to invade. The fearsome King Lenwe is known for his variety of abilities all centered around navigation. Because his power distills to 'command' over vessels, by capturing and declaring angels as such, he enslaves them. Wherever he goes there are many angels pulling his carriage.
THE HERALDCeles, Leader of the Third Order Messengers | THE CASTIGATORPaternaeus, Second Order Authority of Purity | THE EXALTEDElyoes, Third Order Principality of the Meek
One of the most important aspects of any war is reconnaissance, and the Third Order Messengers are the heart of the angels' communication. Scouting ahead, diving into danger, and coming out with information is their proud purpose. Of these Messengers, their leader Celes stands above. Constantly monitoring the flow of information even as he darts about the city, he keeps working even with the bandages on his face and head. People are curious, though-- angels don't usually need bandages. | Most angels, in their gentleness, hold back in their fights against not only their corrupted brethren, but the denizens of the Dark with the hope that they may be restored. The Second Order of Purity is not so concerned with such matters. One would think Paternaeus is an archangel with how much devotion his followers give him, but he is simply an Authority gifted with martial skill and determination. With his flaming sword he kills the tainted, and will not stop until the battlefield has been purged. | Dedicated to the guidance of the others, the Third Order's primary purpose was to guide humans. With the humans having little bearing on the war, many of the Third Order aside from the Messengers were the first to be captured and corrupted, and continue to fall. However, one became more powerful than could have been imagined. With so many of his brethren brought low, Elyoes, Principality of the Meek’s power grew to protect them. Now, he is almost as powerful as an Archangel, and patrols the skies with his goblets.
THE REFORMATIONJorionex, First Order Archangel of Reclamation | THE PUPPETErelim, Second Order Dominion of Forgiveness | THE RADIANTSolielon, First Order Archangel of the Sun
Though powerful, the Archangels are all concerned about making themselves vulnerable due to The First Traitor's corruption. Though it doesn't appear that the Traitor is fighting for the demons, any other Archangels being captured would destroy any sense of morale. But the kind and studious Jorionex could not possibly sit idly by. As Archangel of Reclamation he can save his brethren, erasing demonic influence and restoring their minds. The only problem is that it takes a lot of time and energy, and he wants to save them all. | The more powerful Second Order arrived in waves after the start of the invasion, finding great success in recapturing their Third Order brethren. However, things took a turn when the titled demons arrived and started corrupting them as well. As Dominion of Forgiveness, Erelim took pity on each demon he defeated and bade them leave. However, when he himself fell, he was not shown the same mercy. He was thoroughly corrupted and, as his master commands, distracts other angels so they may be defeated. | In all of the De Coelesti, very few could even fathom that any angel, let alone an archangel, could ever give themselves to the demons. Even among the Council, only one person even had an inkling of what The First Traitor could have been thinking. That is The Radiant Solielon, whose warmth is that of the sun. He was the closest of all to the Traitor, and was the very first angel fighting as soon as the invasion started. Immune to demonic energy, he serves as a beacon of hope for all angels even as he searches for his friend.
The bane of angels and most potent weapon that demons have, corruption at its most basic is cutting an angel off from their connection to the Light, thus depowering them. While angels can survive and perhaps even escape without their powers, this is often followed up with and completed by enslavement in some form. The specifics vary from demon to demon, but the broad categories are as follows:
Considered the best, ideal method and thought to be the one used to enslave The First Traitor, corruption tattoos are made with demonic energy instead of ink. They work by draining angelic energy and converting it into demonic energy, and over time, this can almost turn an angel into a demon. It is also extremely hard to reverse when finished.
These can be placed anywhere, but the bigger and more obvious they are, the faster they drain and convert. The most popular site is the pubic mound, not only for the clear sexual aspect, but for the large space, added humiliation, and ease of sight for the angel.
The biggest problem with this technique is time, however. Inscribing a tattoo requires a lot of time, especially if one does not have a lot of energy to speed up the process. This leaves demons susceptible to attack, and unfinished tattoos are easy to remove. As such, it is considered a waste to put tattoos on Third Order Angels.
A particularly insidious form of corruption that can affect angels that haven't even been caught, emotion dumping is forcing angels to feel things they were not meant to. In their natural forms, angels only experience positive emotions. Even in the times before the invasion, if a human they were attempting to guide were instead influenced by demons, it would be attributed to human folly. However, the unique circumstances of the invasion have created negative emotions in them.
By far the most effective way is to make angels witness their brethren being corrupted. This normally means a tattoo, but if other angels have already been affected by emotion dumping or other techniques, then that applies as well. Because angels are used to healing from grievous wounds and never having any permanent damage, to witness one of their own corrupting leads to fear for themselves, opening them up to further fears and doubts.
Mind breaking can be considered an advanced form of this, which utilizes forcing the angel to experience intense emotions, sometimes over a long period of time, with the goal of burning emotions into the angel’s mind. The most successful of these are sexual, where angels’ sexual inexperience and oftentimes lack of stamina works against them; sacrilegious, wherein they are forced to renounce their brethren and the Light itself, sometimes outright helping the demons; and humiliating, wherein they are objectified and the idea of them being inferior is enforced.
Because a demon’s fluids contain a high amount of demonic energy, stuffing an angel with them eventually leads to corruption. However, the amount of fluid needed to actually accomplish this is prohibitive. As such, this remains the rarest form of corruption. This is not to say that this isn’t done, though; demons with especially high stamina and fluid output have found success. Rather than waiting for one angel to change, demons utilizing this technique will often hunt for several.
The angels’ method of countering corruption, reclamation involves guiding the corrupted to cast out the demonic energy within them and reconnect with the Light through faith and beseeching. Already slow compared to the slower corruption techniques, this is absolutely glacial in comparison to tattoos. Nonetheless, Jorionex and other healers persist, and some angels have been uncorrupted.
It is thought that The First Traitor holds knowledge of reclamation even above that of Jorionex, but such rumors have no proof behind them.
Before and during the start of the invasion, demons and angels came to the same conclusion: humans were too dangerous to be allowed to know about the war. Thus, the illusion of the tornado was put up, and the humans inside were all charmed. However, humans have varying degrees of magical resistance. Especially with the demons and angels now preoccupied fighting each other, it’s possible for some humans to wander the streets and witness the entities.
I actually built this universe with the intent of it being expansive. In fact, this was originally only supposed to be three bots! However, as I started adding to the lore, I realized how much fun it would be to let other people add on to it. Although the lore surrounding The First Traitor, The Repentant, The Curiosity, and to some extent The Radiant are set in stone, there are so many ways this can go. After all, Monaco can be the site of the first invasion, even after the story of The First Traitor is resolved. Ironically, this means that I’m more open to people adding onto this than I am Lyric Boys (which will be updated once I get all of this Dead Dove off of my chest), you just need to contact me for approval.
I’m personally only interested in guys but I was very careful not to exclude the possibility of female angels or demons, so those are on the table if you’d like to make them.
If I like your character enough I may add them to this page, and perhaps involve them in larger story arcs (with your approval, of course.) I’ll be a lot pickier with these, but still, I encourage people to make the best bots they can.
